Data recovery can be labour intensive and hence expensive. It is the customers responsibility to decide if the data acquisition is economic.
If we cannot recover any data using the standard recovery there will be no charge.
If you request the advanced recovery and decide not to accept the quote from the specialist repairer a charge of £30.00 is made to cover carriage and insurance.

Each failed device is treated differently depending on the type of device, the importance of the data and whether any mechanical failures are present.
For example a rattling hard drive with important data would be sent directly to our specialist repairer as running data recovery software or even a hardware diagnostics could kill the drive and make recovery even more difficult.
However, most devices can be successfully accessed using our standard recovery method and often for the minimum fee.
Our specialist repairer, who carries out the advanced data recovery, will evaluate the repair and quote you a price before going ahead. They have clean room facilities where they can remove hard drive platters and rebuild into a new drive chassis to recover your data if necessary.
We give 12 months guarantee on any parts and 30 days on software configuration. (Excludes later configuration changes made by the user or malware).
